Respect: The Poetry of the Music of Detroit, a collection of poems and lyrics that includes numerous Grammy winners and Pulitzer Prize winners. This reading celebrates the literary and cultural impact of the diverse range of innovative music that has emerged from the Motor City, from jazz and blues to rap and techno, and everything in between, while reminding readers of the deep and sometimes controversial connection between poetry and music.
